David Lewis Director - Head of Tax Dispute Resolution (TDR)

David joined the Mazars Tax Investigations team in July 2018, working out of our Manchester Office.

Qualified as an Inspector of Taxes, he previously worked for HMRC for over 20 years, working in a wide variety of roles from Large Business to Fraud Investigations. He also worked in various roles as a Head Office policy and technical advisor, specialising in Tax Administration and Investigation issues such as Powers, Penalties and Collection & Management discretion.

As a former lead of a team of tax investigators, David has considerable experience in the approach taken by HMRC in risk-based enquiry work, both for Large Business and High Net Worth Individuals and the use of data-driven modelling of risk, as well as Offshore issues.
