Juliet leads our UK Indirect Tax team, which is a national team based across 6 of our UK offices. Our specialists provide advice to clients in all sectors, ranging from privately owned businesses, private individuals and listed companies, based both in the UK and overseas. We work with clients to achieve the right tax position through clear advice that supports our client's wider business strategy and priorities.
Experience
Juliet joined Mazars in 2015 having previously worked for over 10 years in Big Four firms. Her key expertise is UK VAT and she has also advised on other indirect taxes such as customs duties, IPT and gaming duties. She works collaboratively with clients to support them and in particular works on international tax, real estate transactions, HMRC negotiations, and company reorganisations.
Work Highlights
Her work highlights range from achieving significant VAT refunds for her clients and working to agree bespoke VAT recovery methods to effectively challenging HMRC to withdraw assessments and penalties; this work achieves visible financial results!
At the same time, Juliet finds great satisfaction in working with clients to provide training and transfer knowledge, enabling them to ensure they meet their compliance obligations independently. She takes pride in working with clients to focus on the best available outcomes that reach a fair position on all sides.
