Mazars awarded City AM’s 'Accountancy Firm of the Year'

Mazars, the international accounting and advisory firm, has been awarded the title of ‘Accountancy Firm of the Year’ at City A.M.’s annual awards ceremony in London.

The awards celebrate the financial and business community, and award its most successful individuals and firms. Other shortlisted firms in the Accountancy Firm of the Year category included BDO, EY and Deloitte.

The judges highlighted recent high-profile client wins and the firm’s role as a voice for market reform among reasons for the award: “Mazars continues to argue for joint audits in the UK and beyond as the best means of shaking up the sector. In July, meanwhile, Mazars announced a new North America alliance, giving its clients access to 16,000 professionals from five accounting firms in the US and Canada. Other big deals appear to be in the pipeline”.

Greg Simpson, Partner and Head of Banking, said: "It was a great evening and what was particularly pleasing were the many positive comments and praise we got from those attending”.

The recognition caps a successful awards season for Mazars, which has been shortlisted for awards including National Firm of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards, Accountancy Team of the Year at the STEP Awards, and ranked in the Top 5 in the FT Adviser Top 100 list 2019.
