Mazars, the international accountancy and advisory firm, has appointed four new Partners in January 2019, three of whom are internal promotions. The new Partners are based in Leeds, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh and London, working across Tax, Audit and Consulting.

Andrew Hoyle, a Financial Services Consulting Partner based in Leeds, began his career at Mazars, joining as an external audit graduate in 2005. Andrew has been central to growing Mazars’ Financial Services internal audit practice in London, and will now use his skills and experience for clients in Leeds and the rest of the country.

Juliet Bailey is an Indirect Tax specialist, based in Leeds. Juliet joined Mazars as a Director in 2015, and has grown the North & Scotland VAT team into a successful and well recognised operation. Juliet has also helped drive the development of Mazars’ national VAT strategy and will continue to focus on serving clients in what is likely to be a period of significant upheaval for indirect tax planning.

Paul Barham is a Private Client Tax Partner based in London. He leads a dedicated team of private client advisors in London and across South and Central England. The team serves a diverse client base of sophisticated high net worth individuals both in the U.K. and internationally.

Ludovic Black is a Tax Partner based in Milton Keynes, and joins Mazars from PwC in Cambridge. He will have a particular focus on the Cambridge-MK-Oxford corridor which is likely to see continuing significant development in the knowledge intensive industries in coming years. Ludovic brings a focus on the tech sector, entrepreneurial business, inbounds and large and listed companies, together with significant experience working in M&A and treasury tax. He will work closely with the audit team and other service lines, supporting and complementing their work in the large and listed market in particular.

Mazars UK Senior Partner, Phil Verity, said: "The success of our business is based upon recognising and developing talent from all sources and backgrounds. We are delighted to have appointed Mike, Juliet, Paul, Andrew and Ludovic to the Partnership, three of whom are internal promotions.

“Each of our new Partners has specific expertise and experience in their dedicated areas, with all five representing the breadth of experience, entrepreneurial outlook, people development and client focus to which we aspire as a firm. I am proud to welcome these talented and dedicated people to the partnership".
