Five rising stars recognised in Accountancy Age Top 35 under 35

Five of Mazars’ rising stars have been recognised in this year’s Accountancy Age Top 35 under 35, the annual list recognising young talent across the accounting sector.

The Top 35 under 35 ranking shines a spotlight on the brightest young talent in the accountancy sector and celebrates those who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession.

The firm’s representatives on the 2019 list are:

Leila Kamdem-Fotso, Partner, Mazars

Having worked in the UK, France and across Europe, Kamdem-Fotso brings diverse range of experience and knowledge in both the financial industry and climate change regulations to Mazars. Promoted to Partner in 2019, Kamdem-Fotso is currently leading a collaborative project on the regulation of climate financial risks across G20 countries, while still working as the People Lead Partner for the Mazars UK consulting service line. Leila was commended for demonstrating a commitment to both Mazars and the wider financial industry.

Rachael Stewart, Assistant Manager, Mazars

Rachael has been recognised for her ongoing commitment to Mazars’ digital transformation showcases a drive for positive change and innovation. After joining the firm in 2015, she assisted with introducing cloud technology throughout the firm’s 13 offices and championing new SME offerings, leading to a promotion to Global SME Project Manager across 89 countries. Rachael co-manages and mentors a team of 25, focusing on driving the team forward in their career at Mazars.

Lucy Hampson, Audit Director, Mazars

Lucy is committed to both Mazars and the audit market, acting as a mentor to senior managers and developing an engaged audit team. In her role as audit director, she works to deliver high audit quality and is a member of the firm’s Quality Monitoring team. Lucy has helped establish Mazars’ reputation in the marketplace through timely work, project management and research and was integral to helping the firm recently win three LSE fully-listed clients.

Alan Frost, Business Consulting Director, Mazars

After joining Mazars in 2007 as a graduate, Alan progressed to become a Director in 2016, supporting various departments throughout his time at the firm. Continually demonstrating a commitment to the profession, Alan also sits on the leadership team of Mazars’ Consulting practice and has been appointed to the ICAEW’s Entertainment, Sport & Media advisory group. Since 2017, he has put the firm’s graduates through a training plan to ensure they progress in their careers with all the required knowledge while empowering junior team members.

Zoe Johnston, Manager – Accounting and Outsourcing, Mazars

Starting her accountancy career as a school leaver in 2012, by 2019, Zoe had moved to London to manage the firm’s new Financial Services and Large and Listed Financial Outsourcing team, growing the department’s revenue to £750,000 in just nine months. Throughout her career, she has committed to training her team members and supporting the company’s wider efforts.
