Jon Leece Partner - Audit Quality

As a partner in our Audit Quality Support team, Jon leads the provision of audit and financial reporting support to our public sector audit teams. He is also a Key Audit Partner licensed to undertake local audit work.

Experience 

Jon joined Mazars in 2012, to establish the firm's Public Sector audit methodology having trained with the Audit Commission. Since then he has worked with the firm's Key Audit Partners to establish the firm as a leading provider of Public Sector external audit services.

He has a broad interest in Public Sector audit and financial reporting. He is a regular contributor to sector-wide technical panels and working groups and is seen as a trusted advisor on emerging technical issues, particularly in the local government sector.

Work Highlights 

• Being part of the leadership team that has expanded the firm's public sector audit practice from a small audit portfolio in Yorkshire and the North East of England to a team that is spread across England and Scotland.
