Harry Bessant Assistant Manager - Employment Tax

Harry supports the London Employment tax team principally on reward strategy, employment status (IR35) and tax due diligences. Further to this, he has a strong background in supporting businesses with their compliance requirements, including preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSA), and P11D forms.

Experience 

Harry is an assistant manager within our Employment tax team, he joined the firm in September 2019 as part of the Tax Graduate Programme. He is also an ACA/CTA qualified Chartered Tax advisor.

Harry has previous experience in supporting international clients to manage their expatriate tax affairs, as well as UK domestic Employment tax affairs. This broad expertise allows him to effectively support global organisations to streamline their employee operations, ensuring thorough compliance and cost management.

• Navigating clients through complex taxation issues - Harry especially enjoys supporting clients on complex taxation areas. In particular, he has previously applied this to key reward decisions, allowing clients to adapt in both a flexible and cost-efficient manner in the ever-changing landscape of employee reward.
• Developing himself and others - A huge personal achievement of Harry's was to obtain his chartered status and become a dual-qualified Chartered Tax Advisor. He also aims to continuously support colleagues in their development to provide the best service to our clients.
