Cameron Waddell

Cameron is a key audit partner responsible for leading the delivery of a large and diverse portfolio of Local Government, NHS and central government clients across England and Scotland. He is also the Office Managing Partner for our Newcastle Office.

Experience 

Cameron joined Mazars from the Audit Commission in 2012. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and a key audit partner (KAP) under the ICAEW’s Local Audit Regulations. He is an experienced auditor of public sector organisations with over 30 years of experience in the sector with Mazars and previously the Audit Commission.

Cameron is our national lead on the provision of Audit & assurance services to NHS organisations and has a significant portfolio of NHS clients including Foundation Trusts and Integrated Care Boards across England.

Cameron’s experience also includes leading the audits of central government organisations, councils, police bodies, fire and rescue authorities, local government pension funds and combined authorities across the UK.

In his current and previous roles, he has led work on complex financial transactions, technical accounting, value for money reviews and reviews of governance and partnership arrangements.

Work Highlights 

Over the past 11 years with the Firm, Cameron has made a significant contribution to our sustained and significant growth in public sector audit, leading our growth in the NHS in England and in our new contract with Audit Scotland.
