Andrew Jones Partner - Audit & Assurance

Andrew is a Partner in the Insurance audit team. Based in Leeds, Andrew works with insurance firms of all sizes, covering life, non-life, reinsurance and Lloyd's groups. Andrew also leads the team's work on enhancing audit quality and developing/delivering sector-specific training.

Experience

Andrew joined Mazars in November 2022 having spent the first 20 years of his career at KPMG, including seven years as a Director and RI.

Andrew has a wealth of experience providing audit, assurance and advisory services to financial services firms, including external audit, internal audit, Solvency II, CASS (insurance firms and investment firms) and regulatory and technical accounting advice. Andrew's experience is largely with UK GAAP and IFRS reporters, in both solo and group roles.

Work Highlights

• Since January 2024, Andrew has represented Mazars on the ICAEW's Insurance Committee.
• Although specialising in external audit, he has also provided a range of other assurance services including spending more than two years as de facto Head of Internal Audit for a major UK personal lines insurance broker.
