Tom Ashmore Partner - Actuarial

Tom is a qualified actuary with significant experience focusing on reserving, expert witness support, the Solvency II standard formula and actuarial audits.

Tom is a Partner and senior member of the Actuarial team. He has led numerous actuarial engagements, including reserve reviews, capital projections and reinsurance modelling. He has also been involved in numerous expert witness projects including Part VII transfers and actuarial analysis of insurance related legal proceedings. He has recent experience across a number of insurance lines in the UK and Europe, including motor, property, health, financial lines, liability, MAT and credit insurance lines.

As part of his development of bespoke models for clients Tom was involved in the detailed communication, coordination and challenge by stakeholders and auditors. He has managed engagements with companies in the UK, Europe and America, incorporating a number of accounting standards and principles. He has also played an integral role in the development of a range of models for catastrophe claims modelling. In particular, Mazars were the actuaries on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
