James has specialised in the provision of forensic accounting services to solicitors, regulators, and corporates since 2004.
James began his forensic accounting career as an associate in the Enforcement Division of the Financial Services Authority where he spent over a year assisting in the much publicised investigation into the collapse of the Split Capital Investment Trust market. In 2004 James joined a newly formed forensic accounting boutique in London, where he spent over six years before re-joining Mazars in 2011. He was made partner in 2013.
James has significant experience of assisting solicitors, and their clients, in a wide range of contentious quantum issues and forensic accounting investigations. James has assisted in disputes relating to, inter alia, investment trusts, breach of contract claims, loss of profit claims, contentious valuations, competition and cartel claims and post acquisition warranty claims. James also has first hand experience of investigations linked to allegations of bribery and corruption. James is regularly instructed as an Expert and has provided oral evidence under cross examination on a number of occasions. He has worked across a number of sectors including waste and recycling, energy, travel and tourism and financial services.
