Mazars advises Boston Family Office

Boston is an independent fiduciary services group in the Trust & Fund Administration sector, which provides a range of fiduciary and corporate services. Headquartered in the Isle of Man, the business also operates from Malta and Dubai to deliver services to an international client base.

The deal was structured to cash out the majority shareholders, who had setup up the Multi Family office from an original Single Family office, and allow the incumbent management team to take on the business with the support of an equity backer. The investment represents Rockpool’s first in the sector and builds on their expertise in the wider financial and professional services sectors.

Our team provided a hands-on approach at an early stage, introducing management to a range of funders before helping them decide on their preferred funder. Our management advisory services included financial modelling of the target entity, returns analysis for the incoming shareholders, advice on deal structure and negotiation with the funder, advice on tactics with the vendor and overall process management and support.
