Six Mazars financial planners named in the New Model Adviser’s Top Next Generation Advisers list

We are delighted to announce that Ross Lambert, Nicholas Nesbitt, James Robinson, Paul Simmons, Andy Springford and Natalie Wright have been named in New Model Adviser’s Top Next Generation Advisers aged under 35.

Now in its second year, New Model Adviser’s Top Next Generation Advisers list identifies the top 35 advisers under 35 who are considered the rising stars in the industry. Judges assessed a number of criteria including work-based responsibilities, influence within the business, involvement in investments and other responsibilities such as developing technology to make their selection.

It is the second year in a row that Ross, Nicholas, Andy and Natalie have been featured in the list. Mazars is the most represented firm in the list this year.

Ross was recognised for the continuous growth of his client base and his involvement in training new members of the team. This year, he also completed the Brighton Marathon in less than four hours, raising nearly £2,000 for the mental health charity, Mind.

Nicholas’s impressive client portfolio (clients worth £80m), pro-bono work during Financial Planning Week and the role he played in the firm’s graduate programme, helping four graduates becoming advisers in 2017 were the key reasons for his nomination.

James has received recognition for building a client portfolio with around £8m assets just a year after taking on his first clients. He has also taken responsibility within the firm for cashflow planning, research, brand promotion and business development.

Paul has spent the past year growing his client bank and now has a portfolio of clients with funds under advice of around £21 million. He has also been involved in various business development campaigns to contribute to the firm’s growth.

Andy, who was recently named Financial Planner of the year at the Money Management Awards, doubled the size of his team in the past year.

Natalie has been recognised for her expertise on business protection, evidenced by a speech she gave in the CISI conference this year. This year, she continued to write regular articles in the working mothers’ magazine MMB and was once again shortlisted for the Personal Finance Society Financial Planner of the year award.

Ian Pickford, Head of Mazars Financial Planning commented on the list: “Congratulations to Ross, Nicholas, James, Paul, Andy and Natalie on making the Next Generation Advisers list. To be the most represented firm in the list is testament to the quality of our team and to the value we always strive to add for our clients.”
