‘Herd’ about 50 years of Mazars in Milton Keynes?
Last week staff at the Milton Keynes office of Mazars, the international accountancy and advisory firm, unveiled their very own specially designed Milton Keynes cow statue.
Over the years Milton Keynes’ famous concrete cows have become synonymous with the city - which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
To commemorate this very special birthday, not for profit organisation, ‘Herd about MK’, launched an initiative providing 50 limited edition, life-sized ‘fibreglass’ cows to the businesses across the city.
Each participating business sponsored a cow, with the surplus money from the project going towards three local charities - Willen Hospice, MK Community Foundation and MK Dons SET. Each business was free to design the cow as they wished and a big reveal of all 50 cows took place last week.
The city’s birthday also coincides with Mazars Milton Keynes’ having been associated with the city for this length of time. Stephen Eames, Partner at Mazars Milton Keynes, said: “It is great to see so many Milton Keynes businesses rallying together to celebrate such a landmark event. Here at Mazars Milton Keynes we have such close ties to the city as we have been here since its very conception in 1967. As a result, in many ways this celebration is doubly special for us and we look forward to what the next decade holds in store for Mazars in Milton Keynes.”
Mazars’ cow features the company’s symbolic colours along with the continents in which they have a presence and 79 flags which represent the different countries in which Mazars operates
