Jane Gilmore Senior Manager - Employment Tax

Jane is a Senior Manager within our Employment Tax function, she is also the national lead for National Minimum Wage (NMW) and supports employers with their NMW compliance strategies. 

Experience

Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Jane has spent over 25 years working across personal tax, customs and more recently within the NMW department. She then spent four years as a Manager at EY, specialising in NMW support and guidance, which involved working with a wide variety of FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies.

Work Highlights 

Jane has extensive specialist NMW knowledge to advise and support employers through the technical NMW regulations and legislation and has represented a wide variety of clients during lengthy and complex NMW formal investigations to bring the enquiry to an early conclusion by presenting technical challenges, risk mitigation and negotiation.

Jane regularly communicates with the Department of Business and Trade (who own NMW policy) and the Low Pay Commission (who review and advise the NMW rates) to provide market insight and feedback on issues relating to NMW.
