Richard Teather Senior Manager – National Tax

Richard is a member of the National Tax group, analysing changes and new issues in tax, and advising on complex technical tax matters for clients. He covers most taxes but has a particular interest in business and international tax affairs. Richard also provides internal training and quality reviews on tax within the firm and is a member of the firm's specialist group on the OECD’s ‘2 Pillar’ global tax reforms.

Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Richard was a university lecturer on tax and adviser on tax reform to governmental and industry bodies in Europe, Africa and the Americas.  He has also worked in major accounting and law firms.

Richard is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW Fellow) and with a law degree from Oxford and has written articles and spoken at conferences on tax around the world. His book on international tax is widely quoted, and an industry panel voted him one of the 500 most influential people in global finance.
