Ian Thomson Tax Senior Manager, Banking & Capital Markets

Ian provides corporate tax compliance and advisory services to UK and foreign banks, as well as to finance, mortgage and securitisation companies. Ian has a deep specialisation in asset finance, having worked as a director in asset finance and leasing at Deutsche Bank and as an adviser in the sector. He is experienced in advising on structured transactions, hybrid mismatches and corporate interest restriction, in international tax, project finance, alternative finance and alternative investment funds. Ian has also worked in tax and finance at J.P. Morgan and PwC.

Ian is a member of the ICAEW’s Tax Faculty. He is a chartered accountant, chartered tax adviser and a lawyer.
