Cameron joined Mazars from the Audit Commission in 2012. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and a Key Audit Partner (KAP) under the ICAEW’s Local Audit Regulations. He is an experienced auditor of local public bodies with over 25 years of experience of working in the sector with Mazars and the Audit Commission.

Cameron is our national lead on the provision of audit and assurance services to NHS organisations and has a significant portfolio of NHS clients including NHS Foundation Trusts, NHS Trusts and NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups across England.

Cameron’s experience also includes leading the audits of councils, police bodies, fire and rescue authorities, local government pension funds and combined authorities. He also works closely with Lee Cartwright, our national Head of Social Housing, on the provision of assurance services to the housing sector in the North of England and Scotland.

In his current and previous roles, he has led work on complex financial transactions, technical accounting, value for money reviews and reviews of governance and partnership arrangements. He also performs a lead role in our national quality monitoring arrangements for assurance engagements i.e. grant work, NHS quality report work etc.

Outside of work, Cameron is a Trustee on the Board of a registered housing provider of general needs and supported housing in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he is Vice Chair of the Audit Committee.

Cameron is based in our Durham Office where he is Managing Partner.
