Mazars appointed Liquidators of Solar Energy Savings Ltd
Three partners at Mazars have been appointed on 8 August 2012 as the Joint Liquidators of Solar Energy Savings Limited, which marketed and sold solar panel systems to the general public. The Company was based in Manchester but had offices throughout Great Britain.
Tim Askham, Robert Adamson and Steve Wood will lead the Liquidation of the company having been appointed by the Secretary of State.
The Liquidators’ role is to secure/realise the assets of the company and in due course to distribute them to the creditors in accordance with the Insolvency Act 1986. The other role of the Liquidators is to investigate the affairs of the company, usually for the purpose of identifying potential additional assets or latent liabilities. In this instance, the Liquidators’ investigations will also focus on the Company’s mis-selling practices as disclosed in the Insolvency Service’s announcement regarding Solar Energy Savings Ltd .
The Liquidators will in the very near future be writing to all known creditors and customers who may be owed money. This will contain such information as is currently available on the Company’s financial position and to advise of a forthcoming meeting of creditors to consider the Liquidators’ plans and appointing a creditors committee.
The Liquidation process is currently in its earliest stages and more information will follow in due course at the Mazars website.
