Mazars is one of the leading financial model auditors in the world in the onshore wind sector, having worked on a string of high profile transactions in the past few years, including:

  • Significant wind project acquisitions and financings in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and France including the 144 MW Westermeerwind and 195 MW Nordoostpolder windfarm in the Netherlands
  • Multiple compliant bids submitted by wind farm developers in the South African Renewable Energy IPP procurement programme, with a combined capacity of over 1,250 MW, and including two large Round 2 wind farm projects that reached financial close in 2013 (Gouda – 138MW; West Coast 1 – 94MW)
  • The £300 million refinancing in 2013 by Infinis of its onshore wind projects in the UK
  • The acquisition by Copenhagen Investment Partners of 49% of a 270MW wind farm portfolio – its first investment in the UK
