Gender Pay Gap Reporting

Tackling the gender pay gap is a key part of the Government’s commitment tointroduce reporting to generate greater pay transparency by larger employers. Find out how Mazars can help your business with the reporting requirements.

The UK Government published The Equality Act 2010 (gender pay gap information) Regulations 2016 as part of its consultation in February 2016. This consultation document followed the broader July 2015 consultation which sought input in terms of how the reporting should work.

It was expected that the final regulations would come into force on 1 October 2016 but, with the release of draft guidance delayed until early 2017, this guidance now sits alongside the regulations which came into force on 6 April 2017. This delay meant that there was very little time available for employers to fully understand their reporting obligations under the new regulations.
