Corporate Reporting & Governance Forums - Annual reports: to die for, or die reading?

Mazars and the Quoted Companies Alliance have come together to provide a forum for quoted companies to learn about and share experiences on the latest corporate reporting and governance developments. We believe that corporate reporting is about so much more than just complying with rules and can generate real business value including building investor confidence.

The forum is aimed at audit committee chairs and other non-executive directors as well as finance directors and their senior staff.

The full invitation to the forum is at the bottom of this page.

The event will function in a roundtable format with the following discussions:

  • Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA): The QCA will introduce the session by sharing the key areas of focus on their agenda.
  • Phil Fitz-Gerald, Director of the FRC Financial Reporting Lab: Phil will speak about the FRC’s current projects on Business model reporting along with their case studies on Clear and concise reporting and its earlier project on reporting by smaller listed companies.
  • Anthony Carey, Partner, Mazars: As UK Head of Governance and Board Practice, Anthony will discuss putting a process in place for continuous improvement in corporate reporting, how to respond to the growing importance of narrative reporting, frequently arising areas for improvement in the financial statements and readily available resources for FDs and audit committees.
  • Rachel Crossley, Senior Reporting Consultant at Emperor (design agency): Rachel will discuss best practice reporting from a design perspective and how to maximise the value of annual reports through design, content and other corporate communications channels.
