Mazars completes going concern sale of the business of Key Forensic Services Limited

16 March 2018
Mazars, the international accounting and advisory firm, has agreed a deal which saves the business of Key Forensics Services Limited, a national supplier of forensic services which had entered administration.

Scott Bevan and Simon Chandler of Mazars LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of Key Forensic Services Limited, as of 30 January 2018. The deal that has been agreed saves maintains the status of the business as a going concern, including 238 jobs across its three sites in Coventry, Warrington and Norwich.

An agreement had previously been reached between the key stakeholders of the company to minimise the impact on the criminal justice system and ongoing cases, and help to protect evidence in live criminal cases.

Scott Bevan, Joint Administrator, Mazars, said: “The business attracted a high level of interest and we are delighted that a sale has been achieved that saves the jobs of 238 staff and preserves the diversity of the forensic market place.

“I would like to thank the company’s stakeholders for their support during this period and I’d particularly like to thank all the staff, during what has been an uncertain time for all.”

The Joint Administrators completed the sale at 16:15 on 15 March 2018 with the assistance of their legal advisers, led by Andrew Taylor of Shakespeare Martineau.
