Mazars, the international accountancy and advisory firm, has promoted Greig Simms and Dave Hilton to Partner. Both Greig and Dave joined Mazars as trainees, and have remained with the business throughout their careers.

Greig Simms is a Tax Partner with a corporate tax specialism and particular expertise in the Infrastructure and Property sectors. Greig has a wide range of experience across both compliance and advisory services, including due diligence and structuring. The National Tax Team, which operates across Mazars’ 17 UK offices, provides bespoke advice on all areas of taxation to individuals, business owners, and corporate organisations.

Dave Hilton is a Corporate Finance Partner, specialising in lead advisory and project management. He has experience of a wide range of sell- and buy-side corporate finance transactions, including VIMBOs, MBOs, and corporate acquisitions and disposals, across a range of sectors including engineering, leisure and support services. Mazars is a leading M&A advisor working with UK-based and international clients, and the growing team delivered a record year in 2017.

Phil Verity, Mazars UK Senior Partner, said: “It is very satisfying to see home grown talent rise to the top of the organisation. I congratulate Greig and Dave on their well-deserved promotions, and I hope that our ongoing focus on developing a strong culture and creating opportunities will encourage people from across the organisation to follow their lead”.

The promotions follow the recent appointments of Andrew Spence and Andrew Westhead to lead the Tax teams in Birmingham and the North-West, respectively.
