Five Rising Stars Represented in Citywire’s 35 Under 35

22 November 2018
We are proud to announce the inclusion of five of our financial planners in Citywire’s 35 Under 35 Rising Stars ranking for 2018.

Natalie Wright, Paul Simmons, Laura Thursfield, James Robinson and Andy Springford; who together make up nearly 15% of the total industry-wide list; were commended for their client work, responsibility, and helping to drive the industry forward.

Natalie Wright, who became a Director at Mazars Financial Planning in September, is also a finalist for the PFS Chartered Financial Planner of the Year award (third consecutive year) and a finalist in the inaugural Women in Finance Awards, as Planner of the Year.

Paul Simmons received recognition for achieving both Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Planner status over the past year. Paul has also continued to develop his client portfolio, growing his funds under advice to more than £30m.

It also marks a continuation of a landmark year for Laura Thursfield, who has also been awarded Birmingham Young Professional of the Year, named a Rising Star in the Women in Financial Advice Awards, and ranked sixth in Accountancy Age’s ’35 Under 35’.

James Robinson was recognised for achieving charted status and more than doubling income over the year. He is also involved in a number of business development initiatives, presenting to various professional bodies.

Andy Springford has also been awarded Investment Planner of the Year at this year’s Money Management Awards, and also continuing to grow the south region following the acquisition of RCL at the end of last year.

Phil Verity, Mazars UK Senior Partner, commented: “On behalf of everyone at Mazars, I want to share our congratulations with these five outstanding individuals. Our Financial Planning team continues to find and nurture talented and committed professionals, and the ongoing level of industry recognition is testament to the fact that they are true leaders in their field”.
