Corporate social responsibility

Mazars strongly believes in giving back to the communities in which we live and work, so we don’t just work for charities, but participate ourselves.

We are one of only five accounting firms that have achieved the Business in the Community (BiTC), Per Cent Standard - excellence in the field of corporate investment in the community - (the others are the Big Four). We contribute over 1.5% of our pre-tax profit to charities. Mazars closely follows KPMG (2.56%) and PwC (1.5%) in terms of corporate giving by an accountancy practice.

Our partners are committed to ‘making a difference ... to our communities’ and this can be seen when comparing our contribution is well ahead of FTSE 100 companies.

The Guardian says: "This year the Top 100 companies listed on the London Stock Exchange earmarked 0.79% of pre-tax profits for financing their social and environmental responsibilities, down from last year's 0.87%.

"The top 15 [FTSE 100] companies in our survey devoted 1% or more of pre-tax profits to social, environmental, and community issues, 22 gave between a 0.5% - 1%, and 19 of the FTSE 100 companies allocated less than 0.01% of their pre-tax profits."
