New group executive board elected at Mazars; global growth continues

Mazars, the integrated international accountancy and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of its executive board. Patrick de Cambourg was re-elected Chairman of the Group for the next three years.  He is joined on the executive board by Philippe Castagnac, Jos van Huut and David Evans – the UK managing partner.  The appointments were confirmed by a ballot of the firm’s 327 partners.

The next stage of the group’s expansion strategy has been unveiled, with partners approving the incorporation of six new offices in India, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico and Egypt, continuing development within the framework of its integrated model.

All in all, the Group is strengthened by the addition of over 1,300 staff and 76 new partners, increasing the geographic coverage of the integrated partnership from 37 to 40 countries.

Mazars reported turnover of €550million during FY2006, a 15 per cent increase on the previous year.  Mazars remains the only international accounting firm to publish jointly-audited accounts for its world-wide business.
