Financing a matrimonial settlement
During a matrimonial settlement discussion, there was concern from the lawyers and their banking advisors as to whether the money being raised to fund the settlement could be properly serviced by a combination of the corporate and personal income of the continuing shareholder.
A review of the company’s business, profitability and cash flow was undertaken. This review also examined the tax effects of withdrawing money. We reported on whether the proposals were viable, and how they could be altered for the benefit of all concerned.
