You can choose to train at one of the 18 Mazars local offices around the UK. We have a team of 1000 employees nationwide, stretching as far Edinburgh and Glasgow. All offer rich training opportunities and each has their own identity and specialisms, from audit to corporate finance and not for profit. PLEASE NOTE -some offices have closing deadlines.
Bedford
Our friendly and social Bedford office with its 35 staff members is close to the M1 and A1 motorways and has convenient rail links to London (less than 45 minutes), the Midlands and the North. We recruit two or three students each year to train in audit and accounts preparation, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT services for owner managed businesses. Our specialist areas encompass companies, professional firms, not for profits and insurance brokers. Trainees start in our audit and accounts preparation or tax departments and from day one you will working with clients and dealing with different industries. Later on, you will be able to specialise in a particular area or department. We support you through your studies with our training manager and buddy system and offer a week release scheme to a national accountancy college with a proven track record.
Birmingham
Life as an employee at our Birmingham office is a little different. Rather than concentrating on compliance, our expertise is in corporate recovery, corporate finance, forensic and investigation services and corporate tax. We also specialise in the auditing of some large corporate businesses. The Birmingham office is not recruiting for 2008, but we work closely in unison with the Dudley office, which takes on graduates in the audit and assurance, business advisory and accounting, corporate finance and taxation areas. If you are interested in training in the Midlands, Mazars Nottingham office also takes on trainees who will gain experience in audit, business services, tax, corporate finance, forensic investigation and corporate recovery.
Brighton
The Brighton office has a relaxed, supportive and open culture with 50 staff and three partners. This office is now fully recruited for it's 2008 training positions. Located in the heart of Brighton’s vibrant North Laines area, we are just two minutes walk from the rail station, with links to London Victoria. We provide a range of services to clients in Brighton and the surrounding region, from audit and assurance to tax compliance and advisory and corporate finance. Much of our focus is on the owner managed business market and we also deal with subsidiaries of European based companies. We audit from a spectrum of sectors, including local authorities, engineering, education, technology and health and leisure. Brighton colleagues work closely with the local community, handling the accounts of a number of local not for profit organisations. Our office has an active social committee, which is subsidised by Mazars, organising paint-balling, theatre trips, quiz nights, go carting and drinks nights, for example.
Bristol
Our team of around 35 people work across two departments – Corporate and Business Services and Corporate Recovery and Insolvency Services. We have a diverse client base in Bristol. A large number of our Internal Audit clients are in the Education sector, for example, universities and colleges. We have around 40 clients in the not for profit sector. We also act for a number of Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulated companies and pension schemes. Most clients are owner-managed companies in a variety of sectors, from engineering to manufacturing (including a large bakery company) and transport. We also act for a number of sole traders and partnerships. Graduates will work with different clients to gain a range of experience. In Corporate and Business Services, for example, you will work on Internal and External audits, as well as accounts preparation assignments. We are a friendly office, which likes to socialise. We have a 5-a-side football team.
Dudley
Our Dudley office has in excess of 60 staff members. Our mix of clients come from across the Black Country, the Midlands and the around the UK. Our portfolios and plans for future growth mean we are able to offer new graduates exciting opportunities. Our services include audit and assurance, business advisory and accounting, corporate finance and taxation. We provide services to a varied client base in terms of size and sector: listed companies, large international groups, owner managed businesses, housing associations, not for profit, insurance companies and pension schemes. Our graduates can expect to gain experience in providing audit and assurance services, including risk management services, and take responsibility for client work early in their career. Graduates are supported with both a national and local structured training programme. Our services include audit and assurance, business advisory and accounting, corporate finance and taxation. We provide services to a varied client base in terms of size and sector: listed companies, large international groups, owner managed businesses, housing associations, not for profit, insurance companies and pension schemes. Our graduates can expect to gain experience in providing audit and assurance services, including risk management services, and take responsibility for client work early in their career. Edinburgh
Located in the Haymarket area of the city, our new open plan offices at Donaldson House are minutes from the city’s rail links. Graduates will enjoy being part of a mixed team in Edinburgh - from Mazars LLP, Mazars Solutions Limited (Bank of Scotland Tax & Trustee Services) and Mazars Financial Planning. Work is hands-on as we mainly deal with smaller clients including owner-managed businesses and both public and private small to medium sized companies. Our friendly and personal approach means you will get to know everyone in the Edinburgh team (we all share the same space), so you will get the support you need throughout your training.
Glasgow
Mazars’ city centre office in Glasgow is set over two floors, and with much of it being an open plan layout, it’s a relaxed and friendly working environment. In Glasgow we offer corporate and personal tax, financial planning, audit and accountancy and corporate finance advice to our clients. Our departments regularly work together providing a network of these services. We recently expanded when we took on board trustee services work for the Clydesdale Bank. Graduates can expect to experience the personal touch of a small firm with the big experience of the largest, working with small charities to large corporate clients with billion pound turnovers. It’s not all work and no play! Our office regularly gets together for social nights and charity events, which have included the Mazars UK National Rowing Challenge in association with Steve Redgrave.
Huddersfield
Our Huddersfield office is made up of two partners and around 35 staff spread over a number of different departments including audit, tax and small business/outsourcing. Our team is approachable and responsive and many are long-term members. We house several of the region’s central operations, including tax investigations, payroll processing and financial services. Our clients are principally small and medium-sized enterprises stretching across all sectors. We particularly enjoy working with growing companies, as this fits in with our own culture. We encourage our graduate trainees to take on higher levels of responsibility from one year to the next and to share their knowledge with incoming team members.
Leeds
At our Leeds office, set over three floors, there are approximately 70 people - and room for many more! Our culture is both challenging and supportive, with an emphasis on personal development, and our environment is friendly and team- orientated. Our departments cover accounts, audit and assurance, personal and corporate tax, insolvency and corporate recovery and corporate finance. We also have many specialists in insurance, not-for-profit organisations and pension schemes. Leeds’ clients are mainly owned managed businesses – from start-ups to £80m turnover international groups. Our clients cover all disciplines (manufacturing companies to service industries) and most are within half an hour of the office. Our work with ambitious entrepreneurial clients means our teams gain a wealth of non-routine experience, which develops their commerciality. All graduate trainees are given responsibility from day one.
London
The London office is the biggest of our offices in the UK. Over the past few years we have grown in stature and reputation hence the need of our recent move to Tower Bridge House. The building overlooks the Tower of London and St Katharine Docks. Tower Bridge House reflects the style of an open and transparent building reflecting the culture which we seek to encourage.
The London office is the national hub for Mazars regulated and large corporate business. We have large and well established groups covering audit and assurance, actuarial services, transaction support and financial reporting. We also have a successful and growing tax practice covering personal tax, corporate and international tax as well as VAT. The London office is also home to Mazars largest Forensic Investigations Group, a thriving Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team as well as other niche areas such as payroll and outsourcing.
As you would expect our client base is truly diverse. Our insurance practice works with 20% of Lloyd’s syndicates and over 50 UK insurance and reinsurance companies. We work with a wide range of corporate and public interest entities, including AIM and fully listed companies. Our banking team acts for 25 banks and financial institutions working across Europe. We also support the interests of a substantial number of private clients and thriving entrepreneurial businesses.

Luton
The Luton office comes under our London Region and works closely with our colleagues in the City. It has six partners and sixty five staff. The office is easily accessible from junctions 10 and 11 of the M1 providing an easy commute into central London by car or train and Luton Airport is only 10 minutes away. Every year between 8 & 10 students join our graduate training scheme. The Luton office specialises in Audit, Governance, Internal Audit, IT Audit and Tax. Its client base includes businesses in the areas of insurance, retail, property, construction, education, manufacturing, technology, energy and defence. As such you will very quickly get exposure to large listed, small and medium size clients in London and around the UK, even Europe. As with all of our offices we will support you through your studies with our mentoring and buddy system so help and advice is always at hand. The office has and continues to grow significantly. It has a close-knit friendly team with an active social life. The social committee organises regular office nights out so its not all work and no play!
Manchester
The fast-growing Manchester office is based in the heart of the city and is staffed by a team of 35 and five partners. Our client base ranges from not for profit entities to the subsidiaries of large international groups. We provide services in accounting, audit, advisory, due diligence, corporate tax, personal tax, tax investigations, corporate recovery and individual voluntary arrangements. Clients include Thales, the leading international electronics and systems group and the innovative owner-managed business, Brick Specialists. Our charity clients include Age Concern and the Mines AdvisoryGroup. Graduates will enjoy the social scene in Manchester. There are regular office nights out and Manchester Chartered Accountants Student Society events. The office has a highly motivated football team, who regularly play against clients and contacts.
Milton Keynes
The Milton Keynes office has approximately 60 staff and six partners and is still growing rapidly. Based in the heart of Milton Keynes, we are close to the town centre and station. We offer services in audit and assurance, corporate finance, transaction support, taxation and business process improvement. Our clients range from individuals to large international groups. Most are based in and around Milton Keynes and London. We recruit four to five students each year to join our audit and assurance department, which has partners working in large corporate and owner-managed business markets. Clients span the telecommunications, property investment and foodstuffs sectors. Graduates will therefore receive a breadth of experience with the support of a training manager. You will attend a nearby, national accountancy college with an excellent exam pass rate.
Nottingham
The open plan and friendly Nottingham office is conveniently based in the city centre outskirts with excellent accessibility. We are becoming an increasingly important part of the business community in the East Midlands serving clients in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Our audit, business services, tax, corporate finance, forensic investigation and corporate recovery departments serve mainly owner-managed business clients. Our client base also includes a number of large corporate entities, not for profits and public sector bodies. Mazars Nottingham’s corporate recovery and forensic departments work on all sizes of corporate administrations, including complex international fraud cases. Our graduate recruits work within all departments receiving a broad and balanced level of experience. Mentors are at hand to discuss any issues and provide feedback on a regular basis.
Oxford
Our small, but rapidly growing Mazars Oxford team of comprises of 20 people, including two partners and a Financial Planning division. The historic university colleges and the city centre are minutes away and London and the rest of the South East are within easy reach. We work closely with the other regional offices in Milton Keynes and Bedford. In Oxford, our work covers statutory compliance, accounting, outsourcing, business process improvement, personal and corporation tax compliance and advisory services. Our clients range from small start-ups and owner managed businesses to multinational groups. New graduate trainees will specialise in property investment and management clients, non-statutory audits (particularly royalty audits) and working with not for profits. The small office means there are opportunities for rapid development and progression.
Poole
Our friendly and close-knit team of 65 staff and 3 partners are based in modern, light and airy offices on the outskirts of Poole, Dorset - an easy commute from Poole centre and Bournemouth. We serve clients from start-ups to multi-million plc’s, from the surrounding region in: audit and compliance, business advisory, statutory financial accounts, tax compliance and advisory, management accounts, corporate finance, forensic accounting, corporate recovery, payroll services and company secretarial work. Our specialisms include solicitors, higher education, pensions and charities. We focus on our graduate trainees’ personal development along with professional studies. Alongside Mazars courses, we provide regular local training to develop your technical knowledge and personal skills. Our coastal and countryside location provides a great location for time off. Our social committee organises events and several office sporting teams.
Southampton
Our Southampton Mazars team is relatively new and we have big plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We are principally involved in the provision of audit and advisory services to the private and public sector. Public sector clients include the Audit Commission (for whom we undertake the external audit of local authorities and health bodies), the European Commission, higher education institutions, housing associations and non-governmental public bodies. We work closely with other offices in the Southern region to provide tax, corporate finance and business recovery services. Our commercial team is involved in the audit of a range of large corporate and middle market clients, including a number of charitable bodies and also provides management accounting and payroll services. The variety of clients and the different types of audit mean that a graduate trainee job role and clients vary. The office has a reputation locally as being an excellent place to work, with a strong social side.
Sutton
A part of our London region, our Sutton Office, consisting of 6 partners and 40 members of staff, work closely with our colleagues in The City. Our team covers audit, tax, and we have a rapidly expanding Outsourcing Department. Our clients range from small organisations and owner manager businesses, to fast growing mid-sized companies and multinational corporations, as well as private individuals. We specialise in the not for profit and pension sectors. Our partners at Sutton have developed strong relationships with our staff teams, helping them to develop and achieve their goals.
