Role
To be a member of the Standards & Risk Management team providing audit and compliance support to Mazars personnel throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Writing guidance on audit technical developments
- Answering queries on audit and compliance issues
- Preparing and delivering technical material (presentations and written guidance)
- Maintaining and developing the firm’s automated audit approach
- Involvement in the firm’s audit QCR programme
- Providing support to the Director of Audit Standards in her role.
Requirements
This is a high profile role and offers opportunities to influence the firm’s audit approach and audit quality. The candidate needs to be able to take responsibility.
- Candidate already in a technical role or an auditor interested in moving into this environment
- As the role will involve contact with senior people in the firm, good interpersonal skills and confidence are essential
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Thorough and orderly work style with strong attention to detail
- Good time manager who ensures deadlines are met
- Experience of larger/listed audits and group audits an advantage but not a requirement
