Stephen Skeels Global Head of Valuations

Stephen joined Mazars in December 2006 after 17 years working as a corporate financier in an investment bank and at a Big 4 firm. His core work over this period has been for mid market corporate clients, specialising in regulated work (e.g. Takeover code, listing rules and valuation matters). 

Stephen heads up the Mazars’ national valuations practice in the UK and is regularly involved in advising on international and complex valuation matters where local knowledge and expertise helps to ensure the valuations are robust. Stephen works as part of the Mazars Forensic and Investigation Services (“FIS”) team in respect of contentious valuation matters and has acted as Expert Witness on a number of matters.

He has significant transaction experience across a range of sectors with a particular focus on insurance. He has worked on public and private transactions covering capital raisings, acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructuring and privatisations. 

Stephen also leads the firms’ Fund Management offering via its FCA regulated subsidiary Mazars Corporate Finance Ltd. MCFL currently acts as an Operator/AIFM to over 60 funds.
