Unregulated Collective Investment Schemes

Mazars Corporate Finance Limited is authorised by the Financial Services Authority to act as Issuer and/or Operator for a range of unregulated collective investment schemes. We currently act as Operator for over 60 unregulated collective investment schemes.

As issuer, our role is likely to include the following activities:

  • Provide assistance for the initial set-up of the scheme
  • Review, comment on and sign off on the Information Memorandum
  • Review other scheme documentation to ensure compliance with the FSA’s conduct of business rules where appropriate
  • Review future marketing literature, including web sites

As operator, our role is likely to include the following activities:

  • Ensure money laundering checks take place on potential members/partners prior to admitting them into the fund
  • Admit members/partners into the fund
  • Hold a register of members/partners
  • Oversee transactions
  • Provide administrative assistance
  • Act as joint signatory on the fund’s bank account
