The bond dealer
Our client had set up a company in the UK with financing from an overseas government agency and a multinational bank. We built a bespoke system so that traders were able to input deals directly into the accounting system. We set up payroll, VAT and corporate tax registration, plus an accounting function to support their day-to-day trading with a remote connection between their offices and our own.
The European IT wizard
A growing IT company was expanding in a number of European countries, each with their own complex and unique regulations. We used our local knowledge and experience in each of their territories to advise them, while maintaining their payroll and administration function. We resolved several complex payroll issues, involving employees from a range of regions with different entitlements. We serve as their finance department as they continue to grow right across Europe.
The American product lifecycle consultants
Our client is a recognised leader in the complex business of delivering collaborative product lifecycle management. We helped them outsource their non-core business services in several different European countries, co-ordinating centrally from the UK. This involved outsourcing services across several European countries, including bookkeeping (to comply with local regulations), US GAAP reporting, payroll, tax returns and year-end accounts.
The struck off parent
A parent company, which had a trading company as a subsidiary, had failed to file the annual return and was struck off by the Registrar of Companies. Consequently the shares of the trading company became Crown property under the bona vacantia rules due to the fact that it had no shareholders. With our specialist restoration team we successfully obtained the consent of the treasury solicitor to the restoration, drafted the missing annual return and restoration application, liaising with the overdue accounts preparation team so that all the documents were submitted in the least disruptive way for the client. The company was successfully restored, without any adverse impact on the trading company.
The French fashion retailer
Despite operating on a large scale in France, this client had no UK presence, and wanted to expand by opening a designer clothes shop here. With our specialist knowledge of both the UK and French markets, we ran their payroll, made monthly visits to process their accounting information, and produced management reports for their parent company. We helped them navigate the minefields of company and staff administration.
