Mazars advises on ‘AIM transaction of the year’ - Mazars - United Kingdom

ToLuna plc (‘ToLuna), the AIM listed provider of online panels, communities and technology to the global online survey and market research industry, was last week awarded 'AIM Transaction of the Year' following its acquisition of the business and assets of the Internet Survey Solutions division of Greenfield Online Inc from Microsoft in July 2009.

This prestigious award recognises a company that has been transformed by a single financial or commercial transaction during the period under review.

According to the judging panel: “The company chosen to receive this award must have displayed a significant achievement in transforming itself, literally at a stroke, and thereby creating significant shareholder value.”

An international Mazars team, comprising members from the UK, France and the US, advised ToLuna in a number of areas including:

• a working capital review of the combined businesses;
• financial and tax due diligence on the acquired business; and
• advice on AIM's reverse takeover regulations.
