The new Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP): Accounting and Reporting by Charities was published in July 2014 and will, in due course, become the basis of financial reporting for most of the Charity Sector. Our local specialist team will provide an update on this and a number of other important issues affecting the charity sector at the moment and will keep you informed as regards planned changes in the future.
The new accounting framework FRS102 is to be adopted for all pension schemes for accounting periods ended on or after 31 December 2015. We are holding a series of seminars around the country to cover the affect these changes will have on the audit of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes.
