Richard joined in 1996 and specialises in providing assurance and transaction services to listed and large private companies. His clients range from multinational plcs, to owner-managed businesses, to pension scheme trusts.

Richard qualified in 1991 as a Chartered Accountant with a large firm of accountants, where he was also seconded to the Paris office for two years. As a result, he became conversant with French accountancy, tax and company law practices, which gave him a valuable European perspective. This enables him to provide specialist advice on many cross-border transactions, both for overseas companies investing in the UK and UK companies investing in Europe and Asia.

Richard has particular expertise of companies in the natural resources and retail sectors and companies with operations in the former Soviet Union and China. Within Mazars, Richard has managerial responsibility for the public interest entity market offering within the UK.

Richard is also the UK Chairman of Praxity and a member of its European executive.
